Only a filter in the air conditioner in my bedroom and my husband has a air purifier in his. Just use them at night. We lived through the awful pollution from 9/11 (we live just across the river from lower Manhattan) and I walked home over the Brooklyn Bridge through it. I figure I must have lungs of steel, lol!

I'm in Brooklyn, NY, and it is horrible here. Last night it was literally as if the building I live in were on fire, with smoke and bits of ash floating in the air through the window with outside an awful orange haze. Today again, smoky air that smells like fire.

That sounds awful, and the video I've seen is terrible! I hope you have some air cleaners in your home.

I'm in Northern Ontario and the weather forecast says "smoke" for the next two days. It is notable. Also notable? Several arrests for arsonists who've been caught setting the "wildfires."

Thanks for the heads up. I was just out walking for an hour like a dope not paying attention to air quality alerts and I have asthma. What an idiot I am.

On another matter, when I click on this article, it says I am a free subscriber, but when I go on your main page it says I am a paid subscriber. I should be a paid subscriber since I bought a paid subscription in January. Any idea what is going on?

There's haziness outside and the smell is extremely strong now. My husband wore a respirator when he went outside to water the plants. It's very bad. Our sweet dog didn't get to stay outside much today because of it. Don't want to breath that.

It's just very strange that 1) there's such a bad fire when there's never been anything like this before on the east coast and 2) that the smoke or whatever it is is traveling so far - hundreds of miles.

Also strange that there are "As of late Monday afternoon, 424 fires were burning across Canada, more than 250 of which are considered out of control." That's a lot.

Have to be out in the garden weeding, watering and putting in seeds. Got a late start to growing season because of unexpected below freezing temps in May. Two deep coughing fits but what am I going to do?

Thank you for posting this. Figured something was going on. How could 424 fires be burning in Canada? Not naturally possible.

Someone in Canada mentioned Aluminum and other metals from geoengineering sprays may contribute to fires and air pollution.

Thank you for sending. Not surprising at this point unfortunately. What's surprising is that the moronic citizens don't put 2 and 2 together. I knew several.
